Situated at the end of Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, the Chow Kit Wet Market, otherwise known as ‘Bazaar Baru Chow Kit’, is Kuala Lumpur’s largest wet market. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the market is an energetic kaleidoscope of colours and flavours. A huge variety of dry and wet foodstuff can be found here, from seasonal fruits to fresh fish, and the goods offered here are said to be of the highest quality.
Characterised by a maze of narrow walkways and wet floors, wandering around the stalls is a heady, sensory experience as you take in the sights and the smells around you. The wet market can be easily reached via Kuala Lumpur’s public transport network, with a monorail station located just 100 metres away. |
